Red Hat offers academic editions of its Red Hat Enterprise Linux Desktop and Server operating software. Either edition can be purchased as an individual subscription or a campus subscription.
Both academic editions offer the same stability, length of RHN maintenance, and management capabilities as our corporate editions of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, but they are provided without RHEL technical support. For production and business application usage of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, academic institutions are advised to use supported Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions.
