Certified JEMS Middleware Expert

A Certified JEMS Middleware Expert has deep knowledge on the JBoss Application Server and intimate knowledge on one or more additional middleware products that integrate with the JBoss AS. Individuals who have achieved their CJME certification are able to design applications that span several middleware layers and is able to optimize the implementations for specific JEMS products.

Course Overview

Students pursuing their CJME certification must attend four total training days of specialty coursework in the Middleware Track or Web Tier Track. The available specialty training and their respective number of training day credits are the following:

JB449 - JBoss JBPM

The JBoss jBPM training course was created for system architects who work closely with business analysts and are responsible for bringing business processes into J2EE environment using jBPM as a workflow engine. This course fills a two-day specialty training credit for the Middleware Track, and may be applied to the required number of training days for Certified JEMS Middleware Expert and Certified JEMS Master Architect levels.

JB267 - Hibernate

The Advanced Hibernate course is recommended for individuals who are familiar with Hibernate and wish to become experts on Hibernate 3. JBoss provides a half-day online tutorial that covers introductory Hibernate concepts; access to the tutorial is included in the course regisration fee. The Advanced Hibernate course fills a two-day specialty training credit for the Middleware Track, and may be applied to the required number of training days for Certified JEMS Middleware Expert and Certified JEMS Master Architect levels.

Please notice that for people new to Hibernate, the JB167 - Hibernate Essentials class is recommended before attending the Advanced Hibernate course.

JB439 - Clustering

Clustering is an advanced course focusing on the high availability services of the JBoss Enterprise Middleware System (JEMS), including JGroups, JBoss Cache, load balancing, and more. This course fills a four-day specialty training credit for the Middleware Track, and may be applied to the required number of training days for Certified JEMS Middleware Expert and Certified JEMS Master Architect levels.

Prerequisites

Exam

There is no single certification exam for the CJME certification level. However, students must pass the relevant exam for any course to obtain training day credit to apply to the CJMA requirements. These exams are available through our online exam provider and may be accessed any time within 12 months of obtaining the respective course.

Recertification

Certified professionals will be required to re-certify with every major JEMS relsease to assure that they stay current on the technology.
